Since 2015, Afonso has released five albums through prominent record labels, including the acclaimed Planet Mu, the ecstatic Soul Feeder, and the deeply emotional Eastern Nurseries. Over the past decade, he has presented his work in venues across the country and in various European cities, as well as creating music for cinema, audiovisual installations, exhibitions, and television.
His work navigates between the epic, orchestral tones of electronic music and the dark melodies of contemporary classical music, building a sonic aesthetic shaped by emotions that are as intense as they are serene, in search of a beauty that is at once fragile and overwhelming.

Canadian Rifles is the experimental project of Rui P. Andrade, musician and founder of the Eastern Nurseries label, based in Porto. His music is characterized by an unlimited sensitivity, capable of conveying delicate emotions through opulent yet subtly crafted sonic processes. Between densely textured electronics, seductive melodies, and ethereal fatalism, Andrade constructs sound universes that are not merely to be observed—they demand to be physically felt.
As the motto of his own label states, it is music that bleeds, regardless of form or format, reflecting a practice in which emotional experience becomes essential.

Vocalist and guitarist of the quartet bbb hairdryer, Doroteia is one of the most intense voices in the national indie-rock and queercore scene, recognized for the raw energy, emotive lyricism, and the fusion of grunge, punk, and noise in her songs.
Alongside her work with the band—where she explores the boundaries between song and noise through a personal and visceral approach—Doroteia also develops a solo project that allows her to investigate new sonic possibilities and expressive territories. Both with the band and as a solo artist, she stands out for her ability to generate dense and vulnerable atmospheres, where guitar and voice intertwine into textures that are both emotionally charged and physically impactful.

Usof is an artist who pushes the definition of ambient music into more complex and dense territories.
His discography includes stay longer (Theory Therapy, Australia), Wish You Were Nicer (enmossed and Psychic Liberation, USA), as well as the Selections 0, 1 and 2 series (Rotten / Fresh) and the EP refresh on his own netlabel, surf. He has performed at various European venues and festivals such as Cafe OTO, Waking Life, Les Siestes Électroniques, and Outfest, and has also released remixes, live recordings, mixtapes, and singles across multiple labels.
Beyond his musical work, Usof is a visual artist, sound engineer, and event promoter with the collectives Living Room and Tundra. He currently hosts the program for 0 on Rádio Quântica and maintains surf's residency on Kiosk Radio, consolidating a multifaceted and ever-expanding artistic presence.

Funchal City Sessions
Created in 2022 as an urban extension of the MADEIRADiG Festival, the Funchal City Sessions were conceived to attract, educate, and expand new audiences interested in the most innovative musical expressions.
Since then, the project has responded to the challenge of offering unique experiences by combining concerts, workshops, and educational activities that bring audiences closer to contemporary creation.
In 2026, the project takes on a new dimension, with a regular program and renewed ambition: to bring artists, audiences, and cultural spaces closer together in a continuous dialogue of innovation and creativity.
The goal is to establish itself as a leading platform for experimentation and innovation, offering Funchal a continuous and distinctive cultural program.
